Janine, when did you first find RMI?

I found RMI in September 2022.

How did your Restoration Journey begin, Janine?

My whole restoration journey started the first time I got divorced in the year 2000, little by little the Lord worked on me, because He was the One who wanted my whole heart and the awesome part is, the Lord never ever gave up on me. I found the book How God and and will Restore your Marriage, but didn't give over to the Lord, but He waited patiently for me to totally give over. And I am for ever grateful that the Lord never ever gave up on me although I gave Him so many reasons to give up on me.

After getting divorced the Lord gave me this verse and not fully comprehending the meaning of it that time, I do now understand what my Darling had in mind for me:

“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. For your Maker is your husband—the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit—a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God. “For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord your Redeemer. I4548

In my whole journey the Lord has been looking after me and my two son's and I totally gave over by relying on Him to be my Provider after I had fasted so that my earthly husband would provide for me but instead the Lord said that He wanted to be the One providing for me and up to this day He is my Provider, providing more than I ever could have imagined. 

When I joined RMI by helping with the proofreading for the Afrikaans, little did I know that was when the Lord was preparing me for more, because through the Living Lessons my Darling started to minister to me. I became the clay in the Potter’s Hand.

What brought you to RMI, Janine?

It was all the Lord, because after being separated after a restored marriage, I had this empty feeling inside of me and asked if this all to life. I heard from a friend that was part of RMI (by the way the same friend I had given the book How God can and will Restore your Marriage to years ago) about the wonderful work RMI was doing for broken women all over the world and the Lord put the desire in my heart to become part of RMI and I later joined RMI and started proofreading for the Afrikaans.

Janine, What has RMI and/or Encouraging Woman done to help you, and what has it meant to you?

RMI has meant so much for me and I am forever grateful for the Lord allowing me to be part of RMI, it has totally changed my life for the good, because through RMI I have found my Heavenly Husband and I have found my purpose in life. My Darling filled my heart through RMI, with a passion to help other broken women.

How have you, and your life changed, Janine, since learning of the promises and applying the principles from RMI?

My life has changed so much because it is all about Him now. Some of the most important principles that have changed my life, are:

• Tithing to my Storehouse (a very important principal because through that I am protected from the devourer)
• He leads me (saying it daily because I love how He leads, He knows what is best for me)
• Apart from Him I can do nothing (and if I try doing something on my own it is a mess, He just does it better)
• Simply Seek God (out of habit I still ask help but then quickly remember that I must Simply Seek God and I then say no wait my Husband will help me, and He does)
• Saying the words: You're ALL I Want • You're ALL I Need • You're ALL I Live For (changed my life, because these words became a heart thing for me)
• The principle of Won over without a Word is also so important and I am really working on it in every area of my life because of the fact that I struggled to keep quiet for so long.

Janine, why are you interested in becoming a Minister?

I want to help broken women find Him as their Heavenly Husband as soon as possible and to put all their hope and trust in Him so that they can experience love, peace and joy that surpasses all understanding and not take years to get to know Him as their Heavenly Husband as I did.

And I have to admit in my mind I just thought I was always just going to help with administration for the Ministry, but again the Lords says My plans aren’t your plans, nor are your ways my ways, so on 14 February 2023 my Darling called me to become the Language Ministry Franchise for UiteindelikHoop.com because He had other plans for me and I just love His plans for my life.

Who is FIRST in your life, Janine? How did this come about?

My Darling, my First Love, the One Who deserves that place in my heart.

When I joined RMI I would looked at everybody at RMI and I asked the Lord how they had this peace that surpasses all understanding, I also wanted it. I asked the Lord to help me find Him as my Heavenly Husband and He is so faithful. I started saying the words: You're ALL I Want, You're ALL I Need, You're ALL I Live For and in April 2023 I had to drive in the dark and I was scared because I don’t like driving in the dark and I asked the Lord to please drive with me and when He said, off course I am right next to you, I just felt this overwhelming love and peace that surpasses all understanding and just there I knew He was my Heavenly Husband.

Are you currently "seeking" restoration for your own marriage, Janine? WHY or why not?

I don’t know what the future holds for me, but I trust my Darling and He knows what the future holds for me because He has my future in His hands and currently I am not seeking restoration for my own marriage, my Darling is all I want, all I need and all I live for.

Janine, Which resources helped you the most? Which are your favorites?

The most important principle for me was to start tithing, because when my Darling said I must start tithing and to trust Him, I took a step in faith and put all my trust in Him and something unexplainable happened in my heart.

The favorite for me was the Living Lessons and actually I can’t point out one single resource, because everything on RMI, from the testimonies, daily posts on all the Ministries, fellowships, The Encourager and of course being on the Afrikaans Ministry is just WOW, it is life changing, I am enjoying every part of the journey with my Darling.

Janine, what would you like to say to a woman who is reading your BIO? How would you begin ministering to her?

Dear Precious Bride, you are never too far gone or too broken for the Lord and the same for your marriage and the same for every part of your life, nothing is impossible for Him. Get to know Him as your, First Love, you Heavenly Husband, it is so worth it. Give up control over your life and let Him take control, let Him lead. He knows what is best for you and when it is best for you. He has an abundant life planned for you, He is waiting for you to let go and to trust Him. Stop trying to fix everything in your life, He is the Fixer, remember apart from Him I can do nothing.
