Waarom Tuisskool?

Recently I saw a video of a popular Social Media Influencer, a man who is highly intelligent and often shares things that are entirely Biblically-based—radical today— but so often I know is founded on scripture (whether he knows it or not). One thing he recently began saying and everyone is agreeing to is that we, as parents, only have our children for 4 short years.

Onlangs het ek ‘n video gesien van ‘n populêre Sosiale Media Beïnvloeder, ‘n man wat hoogs intelligent is en dikwels dinge deel wat op die Bybel gebaseer is—radikaal—vandag maar so dikwels gevestig op die heilige Skrif (of hy nou weet of nie). Een ding wat hy onlangs begin sê het en almal stem saam daarmee is dat ons, as ouers, net ons kinders vir 4 kort jare het.    

Under my breath, I say NO and then I say WHY?

Onder my asem, sê ek NEE en dan sê ek WAAROM?

Of course, this is true for most parents, sometimes even shorter if the children are deposited in daycare. Parents rush them off to preschool. Some wait for kindergarten, but a young child is simply far too young to be influenced by their teachers (who sadly we've also recently become aware of having ulterior motives or an agenda you or I would never subscribe to). Add to this bullies or kids who've been exposed to GOD KNOWS WHAT and I say this literally—only GOD knows—that they will share with your child without any filter.

Ouers haas hulle af na voorskool Sommige wag vir kleuterskool, maar ‘n jong kind is eenvoudig ver te jonk om deur hulle onderwyser beinvloed te word (wie ons treurig ons ook onlangs bewus geword het bybedoelings het of ‘n agenda waarvoor jy of ek nie sal inteken nie). Voeg hier by boelies of kinders wat aan GOD WEET WAT bloot gestel is en ek sê dit letterlik—net GOD weet—wat hulle met jou kind sal deel sonder enige filter.

There is one thing I KNOW is that if it were not for homeschooling my children they would never have been the adults they are today. How could my sons have waited and been intimate with only their wives?

Daar is een ding wat ek WEET is dat as dit nie vir tuisskool was nie my kinders hulle sou nooit die volwassenes wees wat hulle vandag is nie. Hoe kon my seuns gewag het en net met hulle vrouens intiem gewees het?

In 2002 Erin Thiele was asked to help mothers at her megachurch, which was taped, and the outline she gave became an inspiring book called HomeSchooling for Him: Enter by the Narrow Gate. At the time, she was still homeschooling 5 of her 7 children (2 of had already graduated and were encouraged to intern to forgo the dangers of college). In addition to educating her own children, at the same time she also helped run a home business with her husband, along with her ministry that had become worldwide. In 2002 was Erin gevra om moeders by haar megakerk te help, wat opgeneem was, en die buitelyn wat sy gegee het het ‘n inspirerende boek geword met die naam TuisSkool vir Hom: Gaan by die Nou Poort In. Ter aanvulling om haar eie kinders op te voed, het sy dieselfde tyd gehelp om n tuisbesigheid  met haar man te bestuur, saam met haar bediening wat wêreldwyd geword het. During this same time period, Erin encouraged hundreds of family to choose to take back the authority over the training and educating of their children, and was soon a popular homeschool speaker for many conferences in Florida and later in Missouri.

Gedurende hierdie tydsperiode, het Erin honderde families aangemoedig om te kies om die autoriteit oor die opleiding en onderwys van hulle kinders terug te neem, en was gou ‘n populêre tuisskool spreker vir baie konferensies in Florida en later in Missouri.

After homeschooling her 7 children, years later, many are married and only 2 still are unmarried without children—the rest now have children of their own that are school-aged, so the next generation is being homeschooled.

Nadat sy haar 7 kinders tuis onderrig het, jare later, is baie getroud en net 2 is nog steeds ongetroud  sonder kinders—die res het nou kinders van hulle eie wat skool ouderdom is, so die volgende generasie word tuis onderrig. 

YES, there are so many resources and homeschooling blogs available now, but what we believe makes this resource different is simply WHY we've chosen to homeschool:

JA, daar is so baie hulpbronne en tuisskool blogs beskikbaar nou, maar wat ons glo hierdie hulpbron verskillend  maak is eenvoudig WAAROM ons gekies het om tuis te onderrig:

• It is not for the sake of giving our children a better education (although this is what they will receive).
• dit is nie om onthalwe om ons kinders ‘n beter opvoeding te gee nie (alhoewel dit is wat hulle sal ontvang).

 

• It is not for the sake of protecting them from what's learned in school by ungodly curriculum and influential and bullying peers (although it will).
• Dit is nie om die onthalwe om hulle te beskerm van wat in die skool geleer is deur ongoddelike kurrikulum en invloedryke en boelie agtige portuurgroepe (alhoewel dit sal)

 

• We have chosen to educate our children ourselves because God entrusted our children to US as parents in order that we might have the opportunity to live as a family, learn as a family, LOVE as a family and make sure He is at the center of everything!
• Ons het gekies om ons kinders onsself op te lei omdat God ons kinders aan ONS as ouers toevertrou het sodat ons die geleentheid sou hê om as ‘n familie te lewe, te leer as ‘n familie, LIEF TE HÊ as ‘n familie en seker te maak dat HY die middelpunt is van alles!

 

• Had I not been led, almost forced into homeschooling, I would never have seen my children remain morally pure, giving themselves to their spouses after writing River of Life and The Wedding Clothes for that purpose. I want my grandchildren to have the benefit of both parents raising them, so dating or practicing heartbreak and immorality will never achieve that!
• Was ek nie gelei, amper geforseer in tuisskool in nie, sou ek nooit gesien het hoe my kinders moreel rein bly, en hulleself vir hulle gades gee nadat ek die Rivier van die Lewe en Die Trouklere vir daardie doel geskryf het.
